Since 2006, we’ve employed a full time access officer, part funded by our partner organisations. Since October 2007, we’ve continued to fund this post entirely on our own.

We’ve made a commitment not to restrict paddling.

We’re raising the issue with politicians, councils and other agencies at the highest levels.

We’ve recognised that we’re not here to provide access: we’re technical experts. This lets us comment effectively and with credibility on the real issues that paddlers face.

We recognise that the majority of canoeing in Wales takes place outside formal access arrangements.

We make our expertise available to anyone paddling in Wales.

We advocate strongly for recreational activity as well as the needs of formal sport and coaching.

And we believe that paddlers should have the right to enjoy Welsh water.
